- Location: The Host of the GNR is based in Seattle, USA, and conducts most GNR business from Washington DC. Stakeholder Group members and members of the GNR’s other governing body (the Independent Expert Group) are based around the globe and meet quarterly.
- Salary scale: No remuneration is offered for the SG role; it is a voluntary role generally calling for a few days of commitment annually (or more if a Co-Chair role is fulfilled), generally for a 2-year term.

The Global Nutrition Report (GNR) and its Stakeholder Group (SG) Co-chairs invite representatives of GNR’s target audiences to apply to join the SG. The primary role of the SG is to ensure the GNR’s strategic approach and governance maximise the policy relevance of GNR products and to enable the achievement of its strategic vision and mission. The SUN Movement Coordinator has a seat on the SG, with other members hailing from other constituencies.
Presently, the SG seeks applicants from:
- Governments, public institutions, policy, or academic institutions from the Global South
- Donors
- UN organisations
- Civil society
- Youth
- A business association or other group with experience in influencing private sector behaviours to improve nutrition
About the role
The Stakeholder Group (SG) provides overall strategic direction for the GNR as a global accountability mechanism that tracks and reports on progress against all forms of malnutrition. The SG ensures that the GNR serves the needs of its stakeholders, holds the Independent Expert Group (IEG) accountable for delivering the content of the GNR, and holds the Host accountable for providing an entity for the GNR, supporting delivery, and ensuring accountability to donors. The SG members are appointed as representatives of their constituencies, independent of their particular institution. All members should bring high-level policy experience to help maximise GNR relevance and influence. The SG’s composition is based on ensuring good representation, function, and contribution. English language skills are required, as all SG business is conducted in English.
