Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) will be held on 28 to 30 August 2019. Every TICAD is led by Japan, and co-organised by the United Nations, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank and the African Union Commission (AUC).
TICAD is a multilateral forum whose participants include not only African countries but also international organisations, partner countries, private companies and civil society organisations involved in development. The participants engage in fruitful discussions on African development, bringing together a broad range of global know-how and efforts of the international community. TICAD provides an open forum that generates innovative discussion, among various stakeholders, on African development.
