UN Food Systems Summit +4 Stocktake (UNFSS+4)

The 2nd UN Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4) will take place from July 27–29, 2025, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, co-hosted by Ethiopia and Italy. As we approach four years since the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit, UNFSS+4 will provide a platform for reflecting on progress, strengthening collaboration, and unlocking finance and investments to accelerate food systems transformation.

At UNFSS+4, the GNR will host a side that event supports the building of resilient food systems that benefit nutrition by strengthening responsible investment in food security and nutrition. Emphasising a multistakeholder approach - including civil society, governments, and private sector-aligned actors such as the Access to Nutrition Initiative - the event will invite a conversation on how we can transparently hold ourselves and one another to account. PERUSAN will highlight the role of civil society in ensuring commitment-makers uphold transparent, democratic, and accountable governance, particularly in an era of constrained development assistance. The UK, Nigeria and Global Nutrition Report will share progress on global nutrition commitments and showcase food systems for nutrition commitments made at the Paris Nutrition for Growth Summit. The event links to wider CFS discussions, e.g. alignment to the Global Alliance Against Poverty’s aim of promoting inclusive, coordinated accountability for nutrition outcomes.
