3 million children are treated by Action Against Hunger for acute malnutrition between 2021-2025
Description
Action Against Hunger is a leading actor in the delivery of treatment for moderate and severe acute malnutrition across countries with a high burden of malnutrition. Over the commitment period, we intend to expand our work to train community health workers and volunteers in severe acute malnutrition diagnosis, increase our research into scaling up access to treatment through innovative approaches, and build the capacity of local authorities and health service providers to manage treatment services.
We aim to reach on average 600,000 children a year with treatment over the five-year commitment period, tracked through our current International Strategic Plan.
