Number of smallholder farmers (women and men) participating in training processes on sustainable organic food production
Description
The action plan is based on three strategic pillars: (i) Development of training processes on sustainable organic food production with small producers, (ii) Implementation of communication campaigns, and (iii) creation and strengthening of networks with other actors linked to sustainable food production, including national government authorities.
The activities that will respond to these strategic pillars are as follows:
a. Development of an educational plan aimed at small producers (men and women) with agricultural, nutritional and health contents.
b. Motivate farmers to carry out actions for water harvesting in their plots, such as living barriers, irrigation ditches and infiltration holes.
c. Design and implement awareness and communication campaigns on healthy eating, avoiding the use of pesticides and the importance of home plots.
