Description

Upgrading the capabilities of consumers in ensuring food safety would be done, and scientific bases of the regulatory system would be strengthened. This will focus on regulations, food safety standards, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the production of food from primary production, post-harvest handling, distribution and processes.

Description: The country government of the Philippines, through the Department of Agriculture, commits that after two to four years, the policies and programmes for addressing food safety hazards would be strengthened through upgrading the capability of consumers in ensuring food safety and strengthening of the scientific bases of the regulatory system.
