Increased domestic food processing of healthy products for low income earners

Starting from 2025 and by 2027, CAVACS International Limited, SME Aggro-processor of probiotic Dairy products, Farmed and orphaned Fruits products and Nuts products commits to continue to produce and improve on its probiotic and natural healthy Food product portfolio, aiming at an increase of its market share of its Safe affordable, accessible and Nutritious food products to all cadre of low income earning population /consumers in Kenya by 15%. Annual assessment and review of performance will be done internally and by yearly Audits. We will work with our University partners / researchers for product formulation and nutrient profiling to attain the projected increase of 15% and nutrition status. Workers engaged in production are 12 on permanent basis and 5 casuals of whom 3/4 are women and youth of whom will be increased by 20% by 2027 to match the anticipated increase in production and sales to improve on their incomes and livelihoods. Training of other Food entrepreneurs, MSMEs, County Agricultural Extension officers on Skills and simple technologies of Food production and processing of Safe, Nutritious, Affordable and Accessible Food products in their respective Counties will be increased by 20% from the current numbers of 500 by 2027, both for their business venture purposes and their consumption targeting Malnutrition Reduction, since training and technology transfer is one of the CAVACS core business. Their Food products will be analyzed for Safety and nutrient profiling at the University laboratories through Collaborative partnership that exists between CAVACS and the University.
