Description
Strengthen the rectory and governance:
• Renew and strengthen the governing body of the FNS.
• Lobby for the approval of laws on FNS, school feeding, water use, land-use planning and losses and waste.
Strengthen the system’s competencies:
• Strengthen programme interventions in human resources, including training for key actors in FNS and sustainable food systems, government at all three levels, nongovernmental organisations, international cooperation, academia and civil society organisations.
• Develop guidelines and intervention protocols, including technical guidelines for interventions, evaluations and coordinating material for FNS, among others.
• Strengthen the information systems to follow up on FNS progress for accountability.
Strengthen participatory mechanisms:
• Establish strategic partnerships in the country’s government at any administrative level and international levels.
• Establish multisectoral coordination platforms and support networks at any government administration level.
• Establish regional and international coalitions for work in FNS.

Description
Strengthen governance for FNS law and national policy implementation, with a comprehensive and multisectoral approach, functioning as a legal framework to derive sectoral and multisectoral strategies, programmes, projects and plans for FNS improvement. Additionally, within this framework, it is expected to have new laws on school feeding, public purchases from small producers and a reform of the land-use planning law.
