Description

This commitment will be fulfilled through strengthening the coverage and quality of technical assistance and technology transfer to producers. Interventions will include:

• Fostering resilient agricultural practices that increase productivity and production and progressively improve soil and land quality.

• Regulating the ownership and possession of rustic and productive land.

• Reengineering the State Bank to serve the agricultural sector.

• Developing agricultural credits with reciprocal guarantees.

• Focusing agricultural package delivery.

• Harvesting water for production.

• Reactivating and modernising irrigation districts.

• Improving agricultural research for the development of nutrient-rich crops.

• Encouraging the production of fresh fruits and vegetables.

• Promoting and implementing urban and peri-urban agriculture.

• Providing technical assistance to women to organise and promote their empowerment and economic autonomy.

• Promoting producers’ association for the commercialisation of their products.
