Strengthened Food and Nutrition Governance Structures
Description
The commitment facilitates the establishment and strengthening of multisectoral implementation structures, accountability ,monitoring and evaluation of food and nutrition security interventions. This entails capacity building of the different sectors that have a role in improving nutrition as ana outcomes of various drivers at all levels. The setting up of systems, ongoing mentorship and peer-to-peer learning across Food and Nutrition Security structures ( wards, districts, provinces and country). Multisectoral FNS review and planning platforms will form part of the processes and consolidated workplans and reports will be developed, monitored and shared. Training materials will be reviewed to also include Early Childhood Development , Climate Change and any other emerging issues. Human Capital Development will be central within these multisectoral food and nutrition security structures from Cabinet level to ward and village level. Empowerment of women and utilisation of technology savvy innovations will constitute part of the strategies within these multisectoral platforms.
