Commitment

Champion a Global Compact on Nutrition Integration

Government / United Kingdom

March 2025 — December 2030

Description

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) commits to being an active member of the Global Compact on Nutrition Integration and will support its implementation by sharing expertise, engaging in dialogue with Compact members and other stakeholders and participating in peer learning and collaboration. FCDO will uphold the overarching commitments set out in the Global Compact document. FCDO will report annually on the progress of FCDO’s engagement as part of its Nutrition Accountability Report.

FCDO commits to improving the nutrition of women, girls and children by integrating nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive objectives and interventions across its development portfolio, including in health, humanitarian, agriculture, climate, economic growth, women and girls, social protection and other relevant sectors. Building on FCDO’s 2021 commitment, it will continue to use the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Development Assistance Committee’s (DAC) Nutrition Policy Marker, identify and track nutrition-related programmes and publish progress annually on nutrition integration and spend in FCDO’s Nutrition Accountability Report.
