School Health and Nutrition Technical Assistance Facility
Description
The Global Partnership for Education (GPE), working with the World Food Programme and the School Meals Coalition, launched the School Health and Nutrition Technical Assistance Facility to provide technical assistance to countries to implement increasingly sustainable, gender-responsive and nationally owned school meal programmes so that schoolchildren can have safe, diverse, nutritious foods that are locally purchased. GPE commits an initial amount of $3 million to this Facility with potential to scale the pilot as part of collaborative efforts under the School Meals Coalition.
