Description
By 2028, the Benin government, with the support of partners, is committed to increasing the use rate of iodised salt by households to at least 90% by 2028. In particular, it will support local production and fortification of iodised salt; strengthen salt quality controls and update regulatory procedures; develop a distribution infrastructure; and implement awareness campaigns to promote the use of adequately iodised salt.
