Description

Implementation of the Multi-Sector Implementation Plan (MSP), Infant and Young Child Feeding strategy and MIYCN and SBCC strategy documents have been finalized, costed and ready for implementation. if the required funding for the implementation of these strategies are secured, there will be an impact of increasing the rate of not only exclusive breastfeeding but also improvement in MIYCN indicators.

The revitalization of community nutrition activities by the community health workers' programme in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation as well as mothers' support groups activities will impact on increase in the rate of exclusive breastfeeding for children below six months of age.
