Description

The Namibian Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture commits to maintain the Namibia School Feeding Programme (NSFP) whilst improving the nutritional value of meals, hereafter increasingly using a home-grown approach that involves using more Namibian and locally produced foods. The programme will also be extended to secondary schools and integrated into early childhood development centres, which will then fall under the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture's responsibility.

Description

The Namibian Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture commits to maintain the NSFP whilst improving the nutritional value of meals, extending the programme to secondary schools and integrating it with early childhood development centres by 2025. Progress will be assessed during the Second Harambee Prosperity Plan Programme Delivery Unit monthly meetings. The government has secured N$68 450 000.00 to cover the associated costs.
