Description
The Namibian Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, together with the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development and the Development Workshop Namibia, commits to launch community-led total sanitation (CLTS) and raise awareness on water, sanitation and hygiene to increase levels of hygiene through the community-based construction of 5,000 latrines at the household level in urban and peri-urban areas annually, ie, 25,000 latrines over a period of five years (2021–2025).

Progress will be assessed during the Second Harambee Prosperity Plan Programme Delivery Unit monthly meetings. The government has secured N$21 113 285.00 to cover the associated costs.
