Description
The Namibia Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform, together with other stakeholders, commits to increase domestic food production by promoting home gardens, increasing land and water access, improving early warning systems and access to affordable water, and increasing effectiveness/reach/nutrition-related knowledge of its agricultural extension workers, as well as by enhancing the processing, marketing, and consumption of food to improve access to nutritious and safe food for the populace of Namibia at all times.

Description
The Namibia Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform commits to increase domestic food production (promoting home gardens, increase land and water access, early warning systems/ access to affordable water, increase effectiveness/reach/nutritional related knowledge agricultural extension workers) from 30% to 60% and enhance processing, marketing, and consumption of food to improve access to nutritious and safe food for the populace of Namibia at all times. This programme will be implemented over 5 years (April 2021 to March 2026). Progress will be assessed using the Second Harambee Prosperity Plan Programme Delivery Unit monthly meetings. To cover the associated costs NAD 1,361,640,700.00 have been secured by the government and the African Development Bank.
