Description
The Namibia Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform, together with the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development and the Development Workshop Namibia, commits to launch Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) awareness to increase levels of hygiene through community-based construction of 5,000 latrines at household level in urban and peri-urban areas annually, i.e. 25,000 latrines over a period of 5 years (2021 to 2025).

Progress will be assessed using the Second Harambee Prosperity Plan Programme Delivery Unit monthly meetings. NAD 21,113,285.00 have been secured by the government to cover the associated costs.
