Description

A few steps have been defined to develop this commitment.- Develop a paper and e-learning training tool that would address the following: The basics of good nutrition and dietetics; Nutrition for pregnant and breastfeeding women; Nutrition for children and adolescents; Practical tips and advice concerning processed food (too sweet, too fatty, too salty) and the associated risks (diabetes, overweight, hypertension, etc.); Practical tips and tricks for shopping; "Validation of knowledge" module (questionnaires, fill-in-the-blank texts...)- Adapt the material to the context (language, specificities, visual…). The content will be adapted, accessible and fun.- A focal point will be identified in each structure and this person will receive a specific training on healthy diet, nutrition and breastfeeding, and on the material. Thus, Nutriset will have develop a network of focal point for workforce nutrition trainings. - The focal point will roll-out the training and the material within its structure (SME or NGO), to all staff then to newcomers.- This person will collect data so this commitment can be monitored at global level

Healthy Diet for all

Description

This commitment targets Nutriset workforce. With a specific focus on preventing and treating undernourishment (MAM and SAM), Nutriset designs, develops, produces and sells nutritional solutions all over the world to reach the most vulnerable people in fragile contexts and conflicts areas.

Nutriset has already developed training materials on nutrition and malnutrition for new employees. However, these systematic trainings are offered in France only.

This commitment aims to scale-up the provision of these trainings to the PlumpyField® members : +/ - 850 staff, mainly based in LMICs. These training will be also made available to local suppliers. We hope that these trainings can also reach the staff relatives.

The material will be offered to our suppliers so they can roll them out within their staff.
