Healthy and balanced diet for people and the planet

Civil society organisation / Central African Republic

July 2025 — December 2025

Description

This project was initiated to address the problem of food insecurity in the Mbomou and Haut-Mbomou Prefectures. In doing so, our interventions will encourage returnees to revive their agricultural activities by providing them with food supplies to protect seeds from consumption and trade.

Furthermore, this project will also support, revitalize, equip with kits and inputs, and strengthen the capacities of 100 young leaders and members of groups, associations, cooperatives, and federations in the Mbomou and Haut-Mbomou Prefectures.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

 A- General Objective

Contribute to improving the food and nutritional security of 3,000 vulnerable displaced/returnee beneficiaries in the Mbomou and Haut-Mbomou Prefectures.

 B- Specific Objectives:

Specifically, this project will:

-Organize a nutrition education awareness campaign

-Identify areas and target 3,000 beneficiaries

-Build the capacity of 100 young leaders and members of groups, cooperative associations, and federations in the areas of rural entrepreneurship

-Support cooperative associations and federations with agricultural kits and inputs, and build the capacity of local communities at the grassroots level in environmental protection for a period of 60 months

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY

In the implementation of this project, four cross-cutting strategies will be used: the establishment of a comprehensive and continuously strengthened team, community anchoring, partnership, capacity building, and participatory advocacy.
