Description

This commitment will be fulfilled through the provision on-demand nutrition education and counselling services to persons diagnosed with anaemia at health facilities in central Uganda by utilising the Lya Mobile App.

Easy and sustainable healthy eating

Description

• Development of an in-app database with over 100 practical pictures of healthy meals.

• Conduct of a nutrition assessment for 100 persons monthly.

• Provision of self-paced, on-demand nutrition education on the mobile application.

• Provision of individual behaviour counselling for 100 persons monthly.

• Implementation of the following for the 100 monthly app users: monitoring and evaluation of nutrition outcomes three weeks, three months and six months into the intervention and one year after the intervention; management of anaemia; management of overweight and obesity; blood glucose control; blood pressure control; and promotion of breast milk feeding for infants aged 0–24 months.
