Establish at least 3 sessions education to the target population in Indonesia ( women at reproductive age and/or parents of under-5 children) to increase their awareness on anemia and/ or overweight by 2025 (with pre-post test knowledge)

Description

Action plans may include:

1. Coordination internally with PDGMI branches in provinces to compile specific issues and target vulnerable communities regarding anemia and overweight.

2. Coordination also mean to discuss adjustment of existing module according to local wisdom for better message delivery approach and awareness retention in target communities

3. Coordination externally to the collaborated stakeholder (e.g. local government, related NGO and private sectors) to obtain current interest for anemia and overweight management program and develop mid-long term education session plan for identified vulnerable communities

4. Coordination to target population community to investigate their insight and perspective on issues severity and specific needs related to anemia and overweight management. PDGMI branches will intensively discuss the education session plan with target communities

5. Development and improvement of pre-post test assessment for the education modules; and communications strategy for better education message delivery .

Implementation of education sessions involving local leaders, community cadres, teachers and religion leaders to increase community engagement and self sustaining programs.

Indonesian Medical Nutrition Society (IMNS) or Perhimpunan Dokter Gizi Medik Indonesia (PDGMI) commits to support the reduction of anemia among women of reproductive age and reduce the overweight among underfive children in Indonesia through education, community development, and knowledge exchange and learning.
