Cell-cultured meat for the everyday table

Description

1. We will build a resilient global food system by resolving the feed-food competition. This will be achieved by developing sustainable alternative animal protein sources. The milestones include:

• US$300/kg cell-cultured meat by 2023.

• Price parity with conventional speciality meat by 2025.

• Price parity with conventional meat in general retail by 2030.

2. We will implement a continual improvement process for the cell-cultured meat industry to substantially shrink the environmental footprint of the conventional meat industry. The milestones include:

• Establishment of a life cycle assessment methodology by 2023.

• Footprint of cell-cultured meat below that of factory-farmed meat by 2025.

• Price and footprint parity for cell-cultured poultry by 2040.
