Science, Research and Delivery Innovations for African Agrifood System Transform
Description
With work starting in 2025, by 2030, the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture commits to collaborating with other CGIAR centres, National Agricultural Research Systems, sub-regional organisations, African governments, private sector, advanced research institutes, nongovernmental organizations and farmer organisations to promote healthier diets. This will involve accelerating the development of crop varieties tailored to achieve genetic gain, mainstreaming biofortification, enhancing sustainable agricultural productivity and assessing policy reforms essential for the widespread adoption of transformative technologies. Progress will be evaluated annually through CGIAR’s Research for Development and Partnerships for Delivery Directorates, with key milestones set for each priority area.
