Secure funding support and active participation of at least Ten (10) government agencies and development partners to deliver and scale out nutrition sensitive and climate resilient agriculture programs of IIRR at the local level.
Description
IIRR approach is to build a community of practice to model key nutrition-sensitive agriculture programs integrating climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction. With over 60 years of experience of empowering and building a community of practice, we will leverage those communities to showcase their experiences and build on their success stories to scale out the program to more communities. They will serve as a platform for learning where other communities can learn from their challenges, good practices, and how they were able to address their needs, specifically to address food availability, access to diverse, nutritious food; adapt to climate change; and diversify income. Community members will serve as advocates of good nutrition, environment, and health. Evidence generated will be documented, packaged, and shared widely for promotion and awareness raising. The knowledge materials will be made available to everyone and shared to different platforms online i.e., IIRR website, Facebook, twitter, YouTube. Plans for outscaling the program will be shared to possible partners within the SUN Civil society alliance Philippines, private sector, relevant UN agencies and other development agencies to elicit their funding support and engagement.
