Overarching commitment (for commitments submitted pre-2025)
Title
Improving quality of management of severe acute malnutrition (SAM)
Description
Eighty percent of acutely malnourished children are treated in accordance with the national protocol for the treatment of acute malnutrition. In September 2021, this protocol for managing acute malnutrition was reviewed to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for improving the quality of treatment services. Based on this review and the new World Health Organisation recommendations, the Union of the Comoros now has an updated national protocol for the management of acute malnutrition.
