Commitment

Adopt and implement the law on the Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes for the promotion of IYCF

Government / Mali

December 2025 — December 2030

Description

In Mali, there is an inter-ministerial decree dating from 2003 and revised in 2006 on the regulation and marketing of breast-milk substitutes. To date, given the limits of this decree, the evolution of the context of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and the challenges related to the regulation of this sector, it is important to move towards the adoption and implemention of the law on the Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes for the promotion of IYCF.
