Reducing the national prevalence of wasting (acute malnutrition)
Description
The Ministry of Finance, through the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation, is committed to investing in the Ministry of Health for Nutrition, 30 million gourdes per year from 2025 to 2030 focused on improving nutrition during the first 1,000 days of the child's life. A multisectoral project funded by the European Union to the tune of €37.1 million over 5 years (2024-2029) will be distributed among the Ministries of Agriculture, Social Affairs, Women's Affairs, Health/Nutrition and Planning and External Cooperation. Progress will be measured regularly and a mid-term evaluation will be carried out to assess the impact and, if necessary, re-allocate the necessary resources.
