Description

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MOHSP) will coordinate implementation of the national communication programme on the first 1000 days, focusing on social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) interventions targeting healthcare workers, mothers and other community members. The national protocol on complementary feeding will be updated and approved. Based on the protocol, a series SBCC interventions will be developed and implemented. Furthermore, healthcare providers will be trained on complementary feeding based on the updated protocol.

Description

The MOHSP of Tajikistan commits to reducing the prevalence of stunting in children under 5 years of age by approximately 40% by 2025 – from 17.5% in 2017 to 7.3% in 2025.
