All 25 maternity and newborn health facilities will implement "Ten Steps for Successful Breastfeeding".
Description
The goals of this intervention are to support maternity and newborn health facilities in implementing policy around ‘Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding’, promote continuous capacity-building activities of health workers and accreditation inspectors, organise a campaign for the ‘Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding’, celebrate World Breastfeeding Week every year, provide technical assistance and support to health facilities to implement the ‘Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding’ and enforce and monitor implementation of the Infant and Young Child Food Act.

Description
The Mongolian Ministry of Health is committed to reducing, by 2030, anaemia and stunting among children under 5 years of age by 20%, as well as preventing an increase in the prevalence of overweight children. This will be achieved through full integration of essential nutrition services into a primary healthcare package by promoting a healthy diet and restricting unhealthy food and beverages marketing.
