Invest KES 54 Billion on nutrition sensitive in social protection
Description
Disbursement of cash transfer to vulnerable households is intended for meeting their basic needs; it is expected that will lead to improved nutritional outcomes since food will be a priority for them. The Beneficiary Welfare Committees (BWCs) are structures established at the local level, and their membership comprises some of the beneficiaries, whose main task is to monitor the proper usage of the cash.
Empowering beneficiaries using a communication strategy known as Enhanced Beneficiary Outreach Strategy (eBOS) will be used to pass along relevant information, for instance, on financial literacy, starting income-generating activities, and similar.
