Develop and implement technical regulations and guidelines in order to improve the accesibility to healthy diet at schools
Description
Establish a technical working group, including the Ministry of Education, the National Institute for the student well-being and other sectors, related to school nutrition in order to reach consensus and collaboration in the development of technical regulations and guidelines for a healthy and sustainable diet in schools.
The action plan defined by the working group will include the implementation interventions.

The Dominican Republic is committed to developing and implementing sustainable healthy diet policies to provide the population and sectors related to nutrition and food systems with a regulatory framework to improve the nutritional status of the population and achieve national and global nutrition targets.
The Dominican Republic commits to:
• Develop, update and implement national food-based dietary guidelines using a life-course and food-systems approach by 2024.
• Develop and implement technical regulations and guidelines to improve access to a healthy diet in schools by 2024.
• Develop and implement a front-of-package warning labelling regulation by 2024.
