Establish a technical working group, including the ministry of education, the National Institute for the student wellbeing and other sectors related to school nutrition in order to reach consensus and collaboration in the develop of technical regulations and guidelines for healthy and sustainable diet at schools.

The action plan defined by the working group, will include the implementation interventions.

The Dominican republic is committed to develop and implement sustainable healthy diet policies in order to provide to the population and sectors related to nutrition and food systems, a regulatory frame work to improve the nutritional status of the population and achieve the national and global nutrition targets.

The Dominican Republic commits to:

Develop, update and implement the national food based dietary guidelines with the approach of life course and food systems by 2024

Develop and implement technical regulations and guidelines in order to improve the accesibility to healthy diet at schools by 2024

Develop and implement Front-of-package warning labeling regulation by 2024
