Provincial Multisectoral Nutrition Programs
Description
The Pakistan government will ensure implementation of following programmes at the provincial level:
1. Punjab Human Capital Investment Project.
2. Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project.
3. Mother and Child Support Programme, which aims to improve access and uptake of maternal, newborn and child health services. It covers the critical first 1,000 days of life through a co-responsibility cash transfer (CCT) programme for eligible pregnant women and mothers with a child under 2 years of age.
4. Piloting School Meals Programmes for two years in Quetta District with 20,000 students' outreach (Education department Public Sector Development Programme scheme).
5. Gawadar-Lasbela Livelihoods Support Project Phase II.
6. Provision of clean drinking water in Gilgit-Baltistan.
7. Ensuring food security and nutrition through multisectoral interventions focusing on climate-smart agriculture, food processing, value addition (cold storage, packaging), food fortification and livelihood support interventions in Balochistan.
