The Gambia government, through the National Nutrition Agency, Ministry of Health, Gambia Food and Nutrition Association, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare and UNICEF, is committed to increase the exclusive breastfeeding rate from 54% in 2020 to 70% in 2030.
