Description

To prevent neural tube defects and accelerate reduction in iron-deficiency anaemia, the Philippines will pass a National Nutrition Council Governing Board Resolution in 2025 to update the wheat flour fortification standards in alignment with World Health Organization recommendations regarding folic acid and bioavailable iron, with implementation beginning in 2026.
