Increase the number of people reported to be producing, purchasing, consuming/using organics and/or indigenous species
Description
This commitment will be fulfilled through:
• Conducting a landscape analysis and feasibility studies.
• Meeting with all key partners (agriculture research, environment, climate, culture, genetic resources, etc.) to agree to a system. There is one website on species indigenous to Malawi that is run by foreigners outside of Malawi, and supporters and finders of organics are growing.
• Considering and learning from international partners.
• Discussing, strategising on, agreeing on, documenting and developing systems.
Overarching commitment (for commitments submitted pre-2025)
Title
Organic indigenous species in Malawi
Description
During our lifetime, we will take part in open-source documentation of the availability and use of indigenous species and organic agricultural products in Malawi.
