Description

We’ll promote the E-Agri Platform with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of the Japanese government and UN World Food Programme (WFP). We’ll support farmer-leaders to organise small groups of 50 members. We’ll provide smartphones to 1,000 small farmer-leaders. Other leaders who have smartphones can download the application. We’ll provide capacity-building on how to use it and how to organise farmers groups.

• We’ll expand the E-Agri Platform in African countries.

• We’ll increase the income of farmers by improving access to fair price trade opportunities.

• We’ll involve at least 100,000 farmers in the E-Agri Platform within a year.

• We’ll work together with international organisations, the Japanese government and private companies.

• We’ll support creating nutrition maps by collecting agri-product information from farmers through the E-Agri Platform, recommending needed high-nutrition foods through it.
