Participatory Nutrition Awareness workshops have been developed and training of trainer materials developed and implemented.
Description
The Nutrition and Food Security Alliance of Namibia (NAFSAN), together with GIZ Namibia's Farming for Resilience project, will further develop its already piloted community-based nutrition awareness approach and, together with other stakeholders (eg, from academia and the private sector), explore ways to scale up implementation countrywide.
Overarching commitment (for commitments submitted pre-2025)
Title
Healthier diets and consumer behaviour
Description
NAFSAN will work with the Namibian government and other national and international stakeholders on campaigns and other activities that promote healthier diets (ie, reduction in sugar, alcohol, salt, and trans fats consumption, whilst moving to more diversified diets) and enable consumers to make better choices (eg, through nutrition-related food labels).
