Civil Society Observatory on Food Security and Nutrition

By December 2025, the SUN Civil Society Alliance in Peru (PERUSAN) will have formed the Civil Society Observatory on Food and Nutrition Security (FSN) with the active participation of at least 12 partner institutions working on different components of food and nutrition security. This implies the annual analysis of nutritional status indicators and the food systems in force to monitor and promote knowledge of their situation in the country, public policies on FSN, and pubic finance commitments for FSN by 2050. Presentation of the annual results will be made to key public institutions to promote accountability and annual adjustment of strategic, budgetary, and implementation plans, as well as to mass media and social network channels to inform the general population and generate social pressure on government agencies to prioritize the issue of FSN on the government agenda including national budgets.
