Mobilise financial resources for the National Multisectoral Nutrition Action Plan 2021/22–2025/26 (NMNAP II)

The inadequacy and uncertainty of funding continue to undermine implementation of nutrition activities and service delivery in the country. To implement the costed NMNAP II interventions at scale and in real time, the government, in collaboration with partners, commits to raise TZS 642.3 billion (US$279.3 million), which is 100% of the estimated budget for implementation of NMNAP II actions over its five-year term (2021/2022–2025/2026), with at least 60% of resources mobilised by 2023. The government undertakes to fully implement the resource mobilisation strategy and track the nutrition resources mobilised and expended annually in all key nutrition-sensitive sectors and local government areas. The estimated budget for resource mobilisation is TZS 15.3 billion (US$6.6 million).
