Description
• Expand access to health and nutrition services.
• Conduct social behaviour change communication activities through interpersonal communication and focused counselling integrated with maternal and child health contacts in all health facilities.
• Promote exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) for the first 6 months of age at the community level and the use of mass media, digital technology and social media platforms.
• Protect breastfeeding by putting appropriate legislation in place/updating existing legislation and enforcing it (eg, marketing of breast milk substitutes code, maternity leave).
• Promote and support breastfeeding-friendly work environments.
