Improve access to healthy food and nutrition services for vulnerable pregnant and lactating women and children under 2
Description
Cash transfers targeted for pregnant and lactating women (PLWs) can be extremely beneficial, improving access to diverse diets and essential nutrition and health services. The impact of these transfers on nutrition can be enhanced by nutrition-specific messages as well as other potentially complementary measures. Actions will focus on continuing improvement and delivery for the Identification of Poor Households Programme and the rollout of the Family Package programme for social assistance. Materials need to be developed and finalised for the Cash Transfer Programme for Pregnant Women and Children under 2 Years Old (CTP-PWYC) to be complemented by nutrition messages for PLWs.
