Shine Africa Foundation (SAF)–Teso will carry out sensitisation campaigns to target 450 HIV-positive pregnant and lactating mothers; health and nutrition campaigns in the schools, communities, trading centres and churches; promotion of good hygiene practices in schools and public places in rural areas; nutrition and agriculture campaigns, as well as selection and training of 100 community nutrition and education campaigners; and advocacy, dialogues, health talks, health education, baseline home assessments and data collection.

SAF-Teso supports nutrition projects in Teso and Karamoja Sub-regions by implementation of community-based activities, like health and nutrition campaigns targeting pregnant and lactating mothers and malnourished children under 5 years of age, health promotion in schools and communities on good hygiene practices, nutrition and agriculture campaigns, selection and training of community nutrition education campaigners and sensitisation of the general public on health and nutrition.
SAF-Teso will implement activities like school feeding and vegetable growing to boost nutrition and improve learning, as well as public education, outreaches and advocacy campaigns addressing nutrition. Our target is to support 450 malnourished children, as well as children born with multiple disabilities and spina bifida and children living with HIV.
