Commitment

Mobilize academia for enhanced nutrition training, research, and innovation

Civil society organisation / Uganda

June 2025 — June 2030

Description

From 2025 to 2030, the Uganda SUN Academia Network commits to mobilizing academia onto a joint platform to undertake research and innovation aimed at improving infant and young child feeding practices, increasing the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding, and reducing the prevalence of child stunting, wasting, and maternal and child anemia in Uganda. This will be achieved by increasing the number of academic and research institutions participating in active nutrition research in Uganda to over 20. A mid-term review will be conducted in 2026/27 to assess progress and adjust strategies as needed.
