Continue support to civil society organisations
Description
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) commits to continue funding and supporting the work of civil society organisations between 2025-2028 to:
- protect civic space and inclusive participation;
- contribute to the implementation of gender-responsive national and subnational multistkeholders nutrition action plans;
- ensure sustained accountability and transparency for nutrition commitments;
- foster equitable impact as CSOs amplify community voices, promote accountability and help connect grassroots solutions with innovative financing.
In particular, SDC will support the SUN Civil Society Network Secretariat and its regional hubs (SUN CSN) which gathers more than 4500 civil society organisations, including local and international organisations, human rights defenders, community organisations, women’s groups, small farmers, research entities, child rights organisations, youth leaders and more. It operates in over 50 countries working to facilitate learning exchanges, training on fundraising and campaigning and provide resources to empower local stakeholders to drive sustainable, community-led solutions; it runs public advocacy and outreach to ensure the fight against all forms of malnutrition is at the core of governments' and parliaments' attention, in the media and in the population.
