Commitment

Finance capacity building for collection, analysis, reporting on nutrition data

Donor government / Switzerland

2025 — 2028

Description

In continuation with Switzerland's engagement in 2024 and 2025 to submit Minimum Dietary Diversity (MDD) as new SDG 2 indicator, benefiting notably from some of the data generated by the Global Diet Quality Project (GDQP), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) will continue to support capacity building and training for the collection, analysis and reporting on various nutrition and healthy diets data sets. Notably, MDD has been proposed as in indicator for the global nutrition operational targets. SDC will support WHO, FAO and other normative organisations and implementing agencies at the interface of health and food systems for technical assistance and capacity building for governments, academia, private sector and civil society to generate data, insights and evidence for policy making and regulatory measures to promote better nutrition and healthy diets.
