Enabling environment for nutrition

Description

By 2025, the government of Kyrgyzstan commits to draft and adopt laws, policies and regulations to increase access, availability and utilisation of safe food and improve the nutritional status of the population. Specifically, it will:

• Draft regulations on subsidised seeds.

• Strengthen regulations on flour fortification.

• Draft regulations on antimicrobial use.

• Ensure that all provisions of the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes are in place.

• Strengthen multisectoral coordination on food security and nutrition.

• Develop a national social behaviour change communication strategy on nutrition.
