Commitment description

Accelerate Local Nutrition Governance by engaging Cameroon's mayors to commit 1% of their local council's budget to support Nutrition Specific Interventions.

The aim of this commitment is to foster local governance in the area of health promotion in the municipalities.

The beneficiary communes are 23 in number, divided into four target regions.

Adamaoua, East and West are the beneficiary regions of this local governance project.

The East region has four (04), the Adamaoua region has five communes and the West region has fourteen communes.

All the communes in the Adamaoua and East regions have allocated between 2% and 10% of their annual budget to health and nutrition promotion.
