Commitment description

The Namibia Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform commits to launch Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) awareness to increase hygiene through the community-based construction of latrines at household level in urban and peri-urban areas in 5000 villages annually over 5 years (2021 to 2025). Progress will be assessed using the Second Harambee Prosperity Plan Programme Delivery Unit monthly meetings. NAD 21,113,285.00 have been secured by the government to cover the associated costs.
